Recently got into Neil Young. I didn’t know much about his music, I could recognize some of the popular songs of course, but I had never really listened to it in detail until now. Wow, and this song… I can’t stop listening to it.

My niece has recently gotten into making these. She comes over with a zip lock bag full of things she’s collected and then tapes them down on paper.
Top to bottom: beach study, plant study, and flower study.

Went down memory lane yesterday going through these rocks. Some of these rocks are from my childhood, some I found or purchased as an adult, and some are gifts from friends.

I started saving the paper I use to mix paint for the Symbols jewelry I make and using it to wrap up orders. Thought it could be fun to share my process with those buying the work.

It was my birthday this week, and to celebrate it I planned a picnic in the park followed by a walk to the beach to watch the solar eclipse. The picnic was a blast! I managed to get my friends from all over together in one place - it was so fun! I also made my first pinhole projector and it worked! What was really neat though was that we didn’t even need it at times. There was so much overcast, that it created film over the sun that allowed us to glance at it straight on.

Finally made it out to Iko Iko in March. What an incredible place! It’s really special - the objects themselves and the way it’s curated - and the owners Shin and Kristin were a delight to meet.

Got the Sight Unseen printed publication in the mail a couple weeks ago. It’s beautiful and there’s some really good stuff in there.
