Finally made it out to the Watts Towers.  I was truly moved by Simon Rodia’s obsession with these towers.  How does an untrained, unskilled man make something like this?  That’s what really gets to me.

Top to bottom:

-Watts Towers

-Recycled glass and other items were used to make the towers.

-Those imprints you see were made with baskets.

-Simon Rodia’s initials and the imprints of the simple tools he used to build the towers.

-B was in town from Brooklyn and Watts Towers was on his LA checklist.  Mine too!
